Alliance to hold two Advocacy Days in 2013: for grant and J-1 programs

The Alliance is pleased to announce that we will convene two Advocacy Days in Washington in 2013:

  • An Appropriations Advocacy Day (February 27-28); and
  • A J-1 Advocacy Day (May 1-2).

By staging two Advocacy Days, we hope to increase our Congressional reach and deliver clearer, more specific messages to the Hill to support both grant and J-1 programs. We will also work to make these events meaningful staff development opportunities for participants—both will include in-depth advocacy training workshops, and the J-1 day will also feature a compliance workshop.

Registration for Appropriations Advocacy Day will open in early January. We will announce registration details for J-1 Advocacy Day in March.

Many thanks for your support, and we look forward to working with you in 2013 to increase the effectiveness of our advocacy efforts.
