Napolitano defends $10 tourism fee

Speaking during a European Parliament meeting in Brussels, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano defended the $10 fee to be imposed on travelers from visa waiver countries, ABC News reports. The fee is required in the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 (approved by the Senate on September 9 of this year, though not yet signed by President Obama) and would help fund a nonprofit corporation devoted to promoting travel and tourism in the United States.
