The Senate last night approved the continuing resolution (CR) to keep government programs, including the State Department’s educational and cultural exchanges, running at fiscal year (FY) 2007 levels until November 16, 2007. The measure was approved by a vote of 94 to 1. As reported by the Alliance on Wednesday, the resolution was approved by the House of Representatives earlier this week by a vote of 341 to 79.
