The House of Representatives passed a bill this afternoon that will continue funding the programs of the federal government at current fiscal year (FY) 2007 levels through November 16, 2007. With all 12 annual appropriations bills still incomplete, the bill will allow all government programs to continue operating at current funding levels. This includes the State Department’s educational and cultural exchange programs whose funding level stands at $445.2 million. The current fiscal year, FY 2007, ends Sunday, September 30.
