Filing period for H-2B visas reopened

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has reopened the filing period for H-2B temporary foreign nonagricultural worker visas because of a low visa issuance rate, the Wall Street Journal reports:

The congressionally mandated annual cap for H-2B visas is 66,000, and the government has issued only 40,640 this fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30.
