The Alliance is very pleased to announce that Ann Stock, Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, will be the keynote speaker at the 2010 Alliance Membership Meeting. The meeting is scheduled for October 5-6, 2010, in Washington, DC. Assistant Secretary Stock will speak at the opening luncheon on October 5.

Ms. Stock’s presentation will kick off two days of intensive engagement intended by both ECA and the Alliance to reinvigorate our partnership across the broad range of our shared activities and interests. On the afternoon of October 5 and the morning of October 6, Alliance task force groups (academic programs, IVLP, citizen exchanges, and the various Exchange Visitor Program categories), will meet with ECA program staff to share information and perspectives on their programs. The Alliance meeting will conclude with a panel discussion with ECA’s Deputy Assistant Secretaries.

In addition to these events, the Alliance will host a reception on the evening of October 5 at the Embassy of Australia.
