Reps. Rob Bishop (R-UT) and Rob Andrews (D-NJ) introduced legislation yesterday to increase the monthly tax deduction from $50 to $200 for families hosting foreign exchange students. Joining them as original cosponsors on the bill, H.R. 1504, are Reps. Major Owens (D-NY), Mark Udall (D-CO), Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), Bob Filner (D-CA), Betty McCollum (D-MN), and Michael Michaud (D-ME).

The bill has been referred to the House Ways and Means Committee.
