► The Alliance released its 2010 Position Papers in anticipation of its upcoming Advocacy Day events, to take place March 3-4 in Washington, DC.
► Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was on the Hill for numerous hearings to discuss the FY 2011 international affairs budget request. Clinton noted that the FY 11 budget aims to help develop “a new architecture of cooperation to meet global challenges.”
► The Senate moved the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 for the President’s signature.
► Sher Bano, a Pakistani Youth Exchange and Study (YES) alum, wrote a guest post on New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof’s blog in which she discussed her exchange experience and the challenges of feeling “caught between two different cultures.”
