► Last week, Speaker Boehner announced the 2012 Congress Bundestag Exchange which will send a U.S. delegation to Germany in April and bring a German delegation to Washington, DC in May.

► During a trip to Florida last week, President Obama took actions to boost travel and tourism in the United States, including an Executive Order tasking the Departments of State and Homeland Security with increasing non-immigrant visa processing capacity in China and Brazil.

► In a recent USA Today op-ed, travel writer Rick Stevens argued that study abroad is not a “luxury” but a “necessity” and “vital investment” for American students.

► The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) announced on Thursday that it has named Lynne Weil Director of Communications and External Affairs.
