This week, six Members of Congress added their names as cosponsors of House Resolution 100, a resolution urging Congress to develop an international education policy for the United States. The new cosponsors are: Reps. Neil Abercrombie (D-HI), Earl Blumenauer (D-OR), Sherrod Brown (D-OH), James P. Moran (D-VA), Charles W. Pickering (R-MS), and Vic Snyder (D-AR).
“In our increasingly interconnected world, ease of movement across national borders – of people and of capital – is inextricably tied to economic prosperity,” stated House Government Reform Committee Chairman Tom Davis (R-VA) at a hearing Tuesday to address the challenges facing the State Department in balancing security and efficiency in the visa process.
