2010 Position Papers

The Alliance’s 2010 position papers give a broad overview of exchange programs (papers 1-3), as well as focus on specific exchange areas and programs (papers 4-9). The first paper, the appropriations overview, explains the exchange community’s “ask” for the FY 2011 budget ($675 million).

All of these position papers will be covered in the issues briefing session on March 3; however, please make sure to read and digest them prior to your trip to Washington. Also please note that while it is advisable to read all of the papers, you are not expected to be an expert on every issue. Rather, focus only on the issues, and thus the papers, that matter to you, your programs, and your organization.
